ASIA ITINERARY/ROUTE

I'm particularly looking forward to travelling through Asia because
of the geographic and cultural diversity of the countries that I'll be
visiting.  But Asia is tricky in terms of mapping an overland route,
particularly with Afghanistan and Pakistan presenting obstacles to
an uninterrupted path to India.  Although I'm considering several
alternate possibilities, at this point I'm not sure exactly how I'm
going to bicycle the Turkey-to-India leg of the trip.  I'm currently
planning to go through the stans to China and then into India.  The
alternative route would be to go through Russia and China and
then to head south.  In any event, the countries on my presently
unconfirmed route are in the wood-panelled buttons on the right.
