INTRODUCTION

My name is Michael Kopp.  After several years of anticipation and planning I'll finally be
homeless and unemployed for the next year or longer.  During that time I'll be riding my
bicycle from Portugal to Vietnam.  Because I will be gone for a long time, I built this site
with the idea that I could update friends and family (and anyone else who is curious or
planning a similar trip) with photos and reports while I'm travelling.  At the beginning of
the trip (June 2004) the site will be pretty much an empty shell, but as the trip progresses
I hope to be able to add more content reflecting what's happening to me on the road.

I tried to make the site easy to navigate.  My travel updates and photos will be located in
separate country pages which are divided broadly into the Europe and Asia phases of
the trip (i.e. reports from Portugal will be in the Portugal page).  You get the idea.  Well,
